Watermelon Fish

Today’s post a bit on the lighter side. One of the fun things in Vietnam are their watermelon fish. They often give watermelon as a refreshing after meal treat. They have this ingenious way of cutting the rind of the watermelon to resemble the tail of a fish, and the triangle of watermelon the body.

This only takes a couple of cuts with a knife, but makes a big difference. Not only is it cute, but it is also functional. This makes it so you aren’t getting all sticky by eating it straight off the rind, but also gives you something to pick it up with. A great idea for your summer barbecues when watermelon is in season in your area.

I’ll have to add a picture when I can find a good one.

Enjoy!
