White Christmas

When you are dreaming of a white Christmas, just remember that you can make it your own.

We happened to get our first tiny layer of snow a couple of days ago, but we are holding out in hopes of a nice thick layer on Christmas.

But the white Christmas I’m talking about didn’t come about in the form of snow, but rather food. Since it has been Eid holiday here the cook has taken time off. We’ve taken turns each cooking meals for the last three nights.

Last night was my turn. I made potato leek soup that my sis is famous for at her Danish holiday parties. Then I made potatoes au gratin as well. My colleague topped it off by making some cheesy bread. We all sat down and laughed at the fact that not only did we have a triple carb meal, but it was also all white. We decided to top it off with some nice white wine!

A white Christmas indeed!
